STIPE MIOCIC'S MANAGER ACCUSED OF BRIBERY. EVIDENCE IMPLICATES OHIO DIRECTOR BERNIE PROFATO.

The evidence below clearly shows that Stipe Miocic's manager Greg Kalikas, along with Nick Kalikas, certain individuals representing Strong Style fight team and Ohio Athletic Commission Executive Director Bernie Profato are all co-conspirators in one of the biggest MMA scandals in American sports history. One MMA journalist even claimed he was bribed by Greg Kalikas to cover it up.

It is actually pretty simple in origin. Greg Kalikas owned an organization in Ohio called NAAFS. That's where Stipe Miocic fought nearly all of his pro fights before the UFC. Stipe's manager throughout was NAAFS owner, Greg Kalikas, as confirmed in this article by MMA Fighting.com (MMAFighting.com article). This relationship is a direct violation of Ohio code (3773-1-10(E)). But when brought to Profato's attention he simply ignored the issue. However, that is a tiny infraction compared to the fact that Greg Kalikas's brother, Nick Kalikas is an international online bookie with multiple gambling sites like Bookmaker.com, which was once seized by the US Government for illegal activity (photo). Obviously, Greg can't help who his relatives are or what they do. He has to be able to associate with his brother because they are family. But he didn't have to have brother Nick's gambling site, BetOnFighting.com, sponsor his MMA events (photo). That is business. And that is not only a violation of Ohio code but also a violation of federal advertising laws.

Nick's gambling sites take bets on his brother's clients, even when they are are fighting in his brother's organization. So Greg owns the league, manages fighters competing in that same league and his brother Nick takes bets on those fights. Greg also somehow even JUDGED fights that his brother took wagers on and often had his clients or associates fighting in them. Like this one with Forrest Petz vs. Dan Hardy (photo). If you look at the judges' names, Greg Kalikas is there. And here is absolute proof that his brother was taking wagers on that same fight (photo). If you look into how the bout ended it was very controversial. Not surprising. Strong Style's Victor Ventresca also judged fights in which he had conflicts that violated Ohio code. And that's no coincidence because Ventresca and Greg Kalikas were also business partners. They co-managed Jessica Eye...who fought most of her early fights in NAAFS. Imagine if Jon Jones was co-managed by Greg Jackson and Dana White and Dana's brother took bets on his fights. That would not be allowed to happen. This is even worse.

It all starts with Director Profato. After all, he let Victor Ventresca and Greg Kalikas hold OAC positions throughout all of this. Even after he was made aware of the rules violations, bribes and threats. Former NAAFS champ Forrest Petz (remember him?) was even allowed to be an OAC referee and active NAAFS fighter at the same time. This also violates Ohio code, not to mention common sense. Petz even refereed events in which his team, Strong Style (photo), had fighters competing.

Random fact: Sean Salmon once admitted to losing a fight on purpose (Salmon throws fight). That was also in NAAFS. And Nick Kalikas took bets on the massive upset. Also, Profato only gave Salmon a wrist-slap for admittedly throwing the fight. Salmon got a short, retroactive suspension despite fighting while supposedly suspended.

Are you familiar with Karim Zidan from Bloody Elbow? He did a three-part expose on this same story except the explosive "part 3" never got published. Here are parts 1 & 2 (Part 1, Part 2). So what ever happened to part 3? The part that was supposed to expose the connections between the Kalikas brothers, Bernie Profato, NAAFS and Strong Style and then link them all directly to their illegal activity? I will present this to you as a timeline. I am not saying or insinuating anything beyond the fact that these events occurred in this order:

Karim works on the story. I provide evidence only. He is the sole writer.
Karim repeatedly expresses his disgust for Profato and the Kalikas brothers.
Karim begins to research facts independently and uncovers some that even I didn't find. He vows to take down OAC and NAAFS.
Karim contacts Profato with questions and says he then received a direct response not from Profato...but from Greg Kalikas on Profato's behalf.
Karim claims he was "bribed" by Greg Kalikas in direct relation to his expose/inquiries (photo). Parts 1 & 2 had already been published.
A few days later, Karim does interview(s) at Bellator/NAAFS co-promoted event in Ohio. He reports nothing about the scandal.
After claiming Greg Kalikas bribed him, Karim does not ever publish part 3 of his expose.
At a later time, I give the same evidence to Brent Brookhouse of Bloody Elbow. He agrees to do the story (photo).
Brookhouse abruptly ceases pursuing the story without giving notice or reason.
Karim now works with Brookhouse/Bloody Elbow.
NAAFS is gone and now Greg Kalikas focuses on his new project, Octos Management (photo). Miocic and Eye are still his clients.
Nick Kalikas still takes bets on his brother's clients in Bellator and UFC.

If MMA is ever to become a sport that is taken seriously it needs to reject this behavior and those who employ it. Pete Rose received a lifetime ban for far less than what Bernie Profato, the Kalikas brothers, Strong Style and certain associates are involved in. Supporting or ignoring them is supporting corruption. To ignore it is to accept it.

WE ALSO HAVE: Large amounts of additional evidence. Again, we have only scratched the surface of the corruption that first took over Ohio MMA and has now reached all the way up to the heavyweight championship of the UFC.
